These bananas are known for their uniform shape, high yield, and long shelf life, making them ideal for both retail and wholesale markets. Other notable varieties like Robusta, Nendran, Red Banana, and Poovan cater to regional and ethnic preferences across Asia and the Middle East. Indian bananas are carefully harvested at 85–90% maturity, packed in corrugated 13.5 kg boxes, and shipped in temperature-controlled reefer containers to maintain quality. Major markets include UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iran, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Singapore.
